Written by Dina Begum, Made in Bangladesh offers a journey through the country’s diverse cuisine, guided by its six distinct seasons and the way they shape how food is grown, cooked, and shared.
Across 75 recipes, Dina brings together dishes that hold both tradition and familiarity, from street food favourites to slower, more comforting meals prepared at home. Each recipe sits within a wider context, reflecting the bold, layered flavours that define Bangladeshi cooking, alongside the memories and rituals that surround them.
There is a strong sense of generosity throughout the book, with practical guidance on pantry essentials, feeding a crowd, and adapting recipes for different diets, all rooted in a culture where food is central to gathering and celebration.
Accompanied by vivid photography, the book captures not just the dishes themselves, but the landscapes, people, and everyday moments that give them meaning.
This book supports the sharing and preservation of Bangladeshi culinary traditions, bringing greater visibility to recipes, stories, and practices that are deeply rooted in culture and community.
A portion of proceeds across our wider collection is shared with marginalised communities through our ongoing partnership with human rights organisation Restless Beings.
For every order placed, we also plant a tree, contributing to long-term environmental restoration.
