Olives is an original artwork by Tala, known as Kittaba, bringing together the Arabic word Falasteen with one of the most enduring symbols of Palestinian life.

The word is written in a circular composition and surrounded by olive branches in rich green tones, creating a piece that feels both calm and rooted. The repetition of the branches gives the artwork a sense of continuity, allowing the name of Palestine to sit within a wider visual language of land, cultivation, and memory.

Olive trees hold deep significance in Palestinian heritage, representing rootedness, continuity, resilience, and peace. They are part of both the physical landscape and everyday life, carrying generations of agricultural knowledge and connection to place.

Together, the calligraphy and olive branches create a piece that speaks quietly but clearly, holding Palestine through language, land, and symbol.

This greeting card is reproduced from Tala’s original artwork and is left blank inside, giving you space to add your own message.
