This Lahore tamarind chutney is a true taste of Punjab, inspired by the bold, lively flavours of Lahori street food. Made with rich, sun-ripened tamarind, it carries a deep, caramel-like tartness balanced with just the right amount of sweetness and spice.

Tamarind sits at the heart of so many South Asian snacks, bringing brightness, depth, and that unmistakable tang that makes food feel complete. Drizzle it over chaat, spoon it beside samosas and pakoras, use it as a dip, or stir it into dressings, marinades, and sauces for a sweet-sour lift.

Made by Third Culture Kat, this chutney brings South Asian food heritage into the modern pantry, made for everyday kitchens while staying rooted in the flavours, memories, and food cultures that shaped it.

Giving back

By stocking Third Culture Kat, we are beginning to build relationships with artisans, farmers, and makers connected to Kashmir and Pakistan, while using our platform to share awareness around occupation, erasure, food heritage, and the importance of preserving cultural identity through storytelling.

Third Culture Kat works directly with farmers in Pakistan, especially women and smallholders, helping ensure fair pay, dignified treatment, and a stronger voice in the global food market.

At SPINDLE, a portion of proceeds is shared with marginalised communities through our ongoing partnership with human rights organisation Restless Beings. For every order placed, we also plant a tree, contributing to long-term environmental restoration.

Third Culture Kat

Third Culture Kat is rooted in South Asian food heritage, bringing bold condiments into the modern pantry while keeping their connection to land, memory, and migration. Founded by chef Saliha Khan Sadozai, the brand grew from her family’s agricultural roots in South Punjab, Pakistan, where generations have nurtured mango orchards and lived closely with the rhythms of harvest.

After training at Le Cordon Bleu London, Saliha began creating condiments that carry the flavours of home into everyday cooking. From Kashmiri chilli oil to mango and tamarind chutneys, each jar is made to celebrate South Asian ingredients, family history, and the feeling of belonging that food can create. Third Culture Kat also works directly with farmers in Pakistan, especially women and smallholders, helping support fair pay, dignity, and a stronger voice in the global food market.
