Dhriti, meaning “joy” in Hindi, is a vibrant expression of colour and movement, a piece that brings warmth and energy into the home.

Hand-stitched using traditional kantha techniques, this quilt is made by layering together 2–5 cotton saris, giving new life to textiles that already hold their own histories.

One side reveals an abstract composition of diamond-like forms, where miniature black florals and delicate motifs emerge on closer look. Hints of sun-like patterns ripple softly in one corner, while tones of mango yellow, orange, and cream move together in a balanced, grounded palette.

The reverse offers a contrasting rhythm of stripes and checks, where maroon, black, and orange blend and soften into one another, creating a sense of movement across the surface. A subtle ripple of colour in one corner adds depth, making this side just as considered.

Designed to be reversible, Dhriti shifts with your space, whether laid across a bed, folded on a sofa, or brought out for moments of comfort.

Giving back

By repurposing pre-loved saris, it continues this tradition of renewal, keeping textiles in circulation and reducing waste.

For every order placed, we also plant a tree, contributing to long-term environmental restoration.

Kantha

Kantha is a centuries-old stitching tradition from the Bengal region, spanning present-day West Bengal and Bangladesh.

Originally created within the home, layers of worn cloth were stitched together using small running stitches to form quilts for everyday use. Today, this practice continues as a way of preserving both craft and a philosophy of care, renewal, and resourcefulness.
