Shatta is a traditional Palestinian chilli sauce, loved for the way it brings heat, depth, and brightness to everyday food. A little goes a long way, adding a lively kick to simple dishes without needing much else.
Made by fermenting chilli paste, then blending it with garlic and olive oil, this sauce is bold, tangy, and full of character. Serve it on the side with mezze, spoon it over eggs, rice, and grilled vegetables, or stir it into dips, sauces, and marinades for a deeper layer of spice.
Produced by Rift Valley Farms, a family-run collective working closely with farmers across the West Bank, this shatta supports Palestinian farmers and local producers while keeping flavour and value rooted close to the land.
Farming practices avoid herbicides and harmful chemicals, focusing instead on soil health, biodiversity, and responsible water use. Alongside this, the collective continues to invest in partial solar-powered facilities and energy-efficient systems, working towards a more sustainable future for Palestinian agriculture.

By stocking and supporting Palestinian-made goods, we contribute to sustaining livelihoods and preserving craft under ongoing occupation and erasure.
A portion of proceeds is shared with marginalised communities through our ongoing partnership with human rights organisation Restless Beings.
For every order placed, we also plant a tree, contributing to long-term environmental restoration.
Rift Valley Farms is rooted in the Jordan Valley, working from its own land while collaborating with small and mid-sized Palestinian farmers across the region. Through shared knowledge and sustainable practices, they support both the land and the communities who depend on it.
The sumac berries used here are grown and harvested within this landscape, where crops are shaped by climate, soil, and season. Women play an active role across the business, from leadership to the packing house in the village of Oja, reflecting a considered shift towards greater equity within agriculture while strengthening the community around it.
We support makers and farmers near and far through fair wages and thoughtful partnerships.
We choose natural, biodegradable materials and eco-conscious or plant-based dyes where possible. While we avoid single-use plastic, we reuse any that arrives with deliveries to reduce waste.
A percentage of every order goes to marginalised communities, and every purchase plants a tree.
