Carefully carved by hand, these olive wood hearts are small pieces that carry both meaning and material history.

Made from branches of olive trees that have naturally fallen or been pruned, the wood is given a second life, shaped into something simple yet deeply expressive. The grain, formed over decades, moves through each piece in its own way, creating patterns and tones that cannot be repeated.

Smooth to the touch and gentle in form, they sit easily in the hand, whether kept as a quiet keepsake, given as a gesture of love, or used to mark a moment worth remembering. Their simplicity allows them to hold many meanings, shaped as much by the person receiving them as by the hands that made them.

They also lend themselves beautifully to personalisation, with space for initials, dates, or small messages, making them especially suited to weddings, gatherings, and meaningful milestones.

No two are exactly alike. Each heart carries its own variation in grain, tone, and shape, a reflection of the tree it came from and the hands that carved it.

Bethlehem Olive Wood

Olive wood carving in Bethlehem is one of the oldest continuous woodworking traditions in the world, shaped over centuries in a place where the olive tree has long been part of daily life.

Artisans work with wood from pruned branches or ageing trees that no longer bear fruit, allowing the material to be used without harming the life cycle of the tree. Each piece is carved slowly by hand, guided by the natural grain, which forms its distinctive flowing patterns over decades of growth.

What has been passed down through generations is not only a technique, but a way of working that values patience, care, and a deep connection to the land.
