Home of heritage, handicraft & Heart Every order supports marginalised communities via donations and plants a tree Free UK mainland delivery on orders over £50 Handmade by artisans from Palestine, Uganda, India and beyond.

The fabric used for this notebook is Pochampally Ikat, a textile tradition associated with Bhoodan Pochampally in Telangana.

Unlike printed cloth, Ikat patterns are created by binding and dyeing sections of the threads before they are woven. The careful alignment of the dyed threads produces the softly blurred geometric patterns that give Ikat its distinctive character.

The cover of this notebook is made using an Ikat fabric off-cut, allowing a smaller piece of woven cloth to be used thoughtfully. Since every notebook is cut from a different section of the textile, each cover has its own pattern placement and is completely unique.

Inside, the ruled pages are formed from recycled cotton, paper waste and other natural fibres, avoiding the need for virgin paper. Each notebook is handcrafted in India using traditional bookbinding techniques and made for everyday writing, plans, sketches and ideas.
