Hand block printing is one of India's oldest textile traditions, where skilled artisans carve intricate patterns into wooden blocks before printing each layer by hand onto natural cotton cloth. Every impression is applied individually, creating textiles with subtle variations that reflect the rhythm and craftsmanship of the maker.
The cover of this notebook is made using hand block printed fabric off-cuts, giving beautiful textiles a second life rather than allowing them to go to waste. Because each notebook is cut from a different section of the fabric, every cover is completely unique, with its own pattern placement and character.
Inside, the pages are formed from recycled cotton, paper waste and other natural fibres, avoiding the need for virgin paper and making thoughtful use of materials that already exist. Each notebook is handcrafted in India using traditional bookbinding techniques, creating a practical companion for everyday notes, journalling and sketching.
