We're away on holiday • orders placed today, will be packed from 28 October on our return •

Woven by hand by Palestinian Bedouin women, this rug celebrates the natural character of wool through a simple palette and strongly tactile surface.

Its alternative-weft construction creates a thicker, more substantial textile than our flat-weave rugs. Closely woven rows give the surface definition, while shades of oatmeal, stone and warm greige bring subtle variation through the design. Braided wool cords and hand-finished corner tassels complete the piece.

The restrained palette allows the texture of the weave to take the lead, giving the rug a quiet, grounded presence while still showing the individual character of the wool and the hand of the maker.

We work with the women through Sidreh, connecting their weaving with customers who value the skill, time and cultural knowledge held within each piece.

Each rug is woven individually, and some construction details may vary with size. The photographs show the character of the design; elements such as central joins, edging and tassels may differ between formats.

Slight variations in wool tone, weave, tension and finish reflect the handmade process and make every rug distinct.

Care
Vacuum gently using a low-suction setting or shake out carefully.

Natural wool may shed or soften slightly with use.
Giving back

This piece supports Palestinian Bedouin women through meaningful, fairly paid work while helping traditional weaving knowledge continue as a living craft.

Working through Sidreh allows us to support women whose skills, knowledge, and livelihoods are rooted in this weaving tradition, while bringing their work to a wider audience.

By expanding the makers we work with in Palestine, we are creating opportunities for more communities to benefit from the collection while sharing the skills, materials, and stories held within their work.

A portion of proceeds across our wider collection is shared with marginalised communities through our ongoing partnership with human rights organisation Restless Beings.

For every order placed, we also plant a tree, contributing to long-term environmental restoration.

Find the right rug size

Choose a room to explore our standard sizes and find a placement that works for your home.

A compact seating nook: 100 × 200 cm rug placement viewed from above.

100 × 200 cm

Place the 200 cm edge parallel to a compact sofa, with a small coffee table centred on the rug. Check the sofa width first; this size also works well with a single armchair to define a reading corner.

A smaller sofa arrangement: 150 × 250 cm rug placement viewed from above.

150 × 250 cm

Lay the 250 cm edge along the sofa and tuck the rug beneath its front legs. The remaining rug can frame a coffee table and bring a compact seating area together. Check the fit against your furniture.

A larger seating area: 200 × 300 cm rug placement viewed from above.

200 × 300 cm

Use the 300 cm edge along the sofa to create a more generous seating area. Position the sofa and, where the layout allows, the armchairs with their front legs on the rug. Measure the whole arrangement before choosing.

A small bedside accent: 60 × 110 cm rug placement viewed from above.

60 × 110 cm

Place this small rug beside the bed where your feet land when you get up. It adds a touch of wool and pattern without filling the floor. Check the space around bedside tables and door openings.

Runner alongside the bed: 76 × 240 cm rug placement viewed from above.

76 × 240 cm

Run the rug lengthways beside the bed for a longer stretch of wool underfoot. Allow enough floor space for its full 240 cm length, and check how it sits beside your bedside furniture.

Runner at the foot of the bed: 76 × 240 cm rug placement viewed from above.

76 × 240 cm

Turn the runner across the foot of the bed, with the 240 cm edge running from side to side. Centre it on the bed and leave room to walk around it. Check the clearance if you also have a bench or chest here.

Across the lower part of a bed: 150 × 250 cm rug placement viewed from above.

150 × 250 cm

Lay the 250 cm edge across the width of a double bed, with part of the rug tucked beneath the lower section. This leaves wool visible at the sides and foot. The amount showing depends on the bed frame and placement.

A more generous bed surround: 200 × 300 cm rug placement viewed from above.

200 × 300 cm

Position the 300 cm edge across the bed, with the rug partly beneath it and extending beyond the sides and foot. This can suit double and king-size beds; measure the outer bed frame and the floor space around it.

150 × 250 cm

150 × 250 cm

Centre a small round table on the rug to define a compact dining nook. Shown with an 80 cm diameter table and four chairs tucked in, this is a snug arrangement. Check the fit with your chairs pulled out; if they extend beyond the rug, choose the larger size or explore a bespoke option.

Under a dining table: 200 × 300 cm rug placement viewed from above.

200 × 300 cm

Centre the rug beneath the table and check that chairs can be pulled out while remaining on it. For example, a table measuring 80 × 160 cm leaves 60 cm of rug on each side and 70 cm at each end. Check your actual chairs and clearance; a larger table may need a bespoke size.

This guide shows our standard sizes. Ready-made pieces may have different dimensions, so check the size selected above. Measure your furniture and mark out the rug on the floor before ordering.
