Falak, meaning “sky” in Urdu, is a one-of-a-kind kantha quilt with two distinct sides.
On one side, a geometric base in varying shades of blue is scattered with bright yellow floral motifs. A pale yellow border frames the design, while the kantha stitching forms subtle diamond patterns across the surface, adding texture and structure.
The reverse shifts into a softer palette, with a pale green base layered with large orange and purple florals. A fine underlying pattern runs through the surface, with kantha stitching from the other side gently visible, creating a connected, layered effect. A green floral border frames the quilt, sitting slightly off-centre, reflecting its handmade nature.
Designed to be reversible, Falak offers two contrasting sides within one piece.
