Wrapped in Bandhani fabric, this notebook carries one of the oldest forms of tie-dye, rooted in regions of Gujarat and Rajasthan.
Bandhani, also known as Bandhej, is created by tying small sections of fabric by hand before dyeing, forming intricate patterns through a resist process. Once dyed and untied, the cloth reveals its distinctive dotted designs, each one shaped by careful placement and repetition. Traditionally made using natural dyes, the process is both detailed and time-intensive, with each piece reflecting the rhythm of handwork.
The cover is made using fabric off-cuts, allowing smaller remnants to be used thoughtfully, while the pages inside are formed from recycled cotton, paper waste, and other natural fibres. This process avoids the use of new raw materials, giving existing materials a further life.
Designed for everyday use, the notebook holds a clean, ruled interior, making it easy to return to for notes, lists, or quiet moments of writing.
