The keffiyeh is a traditional Palestinian scarf, long worn as both a practical garment and a symbol of identity and solidarity.
This piece draws directly from Al-Khalil (Hebron), a city known for its deep connection to craft, history, and faith. Home to one of the last remaining keffiyeh factories in Palestine, it is here that these pieces continue to be made, preserving a tradition that has endured across generations.
The green tones woven through this keffiyeh are inspired by the Sanctuary of Abraham mosque, one of the oldest active holy sites in the world. With its stone structure and distinctive green and gold interior, the mosque stands as a symbol of the city’s spiritual and cultural legacy, honouring figures such as Isaac (Ishaq) and Rebecca (Rafqa). The colours reflect this connection, grounding the piece in both place and meaning.
Sourced from Al-Khalil (Hebron), West Bank, Palestine, where one of two remaining keffiyeh factories in the region continues to produce authentic Palestinian keffiyehs, each piece supports the continuation of a craft that has endured despite growing pressure from imitation and mass production.
Part of our seconds collection, these keffiyehs may include pulls, small defects, or visible imperfections. Rather than discarding them, we choose to share these pieces as they are, each one still carrying the same story, material, and origin.
Given their handmade nature, slight variations in weave, tassels, and pattern are to be expected, each one reflecting the human process behind its making.
