Home of heritage, handicraft & Heart Every order plants a tree and supports marginalised communities via donations Free UK mainland delivery on orders over £50 Handmade by artisans from Palestine, Uganda, India and beyond.

Aysu is a traditional peshtemal, a flat-woven towel long used in Turkish hammams.

Hand-loomed in Türkiye using 100% cotton, it is designed to be both practical and beautiful. Lightweight yet highly absorbent, it dries quickly and folds down easily, making it ideal for everyday use at home or for days spent by the sea.

Unlike traditional terry towels, the flat weave means sand doesn’t cling to the fibres, and the towel becomes softer with each wash. Generously sized, it can also be worn as a sarong, used as a light throw, or folded into your bag without taking up space.

Each piece is woven by artisans who have inherited this craft through generations, with tassels hand-finished separately, supporting multiple hands within the same community.
