Avni | Kantha Quilt

Avni – our Earth-inspired Kantha Quilt, named after the Hindi word for Earth. A stunning repurposed sari quilt that carries the spirit of all seasons in its design.

On one side, Avni blossoms with the feeling of spring and summer. A deep black canvas is adorned with clusters of green petals, bordered by delicate purple petals. In one corner, two rows of large green flowers bloom, framed by smaller floral borders running along either side. Tiny white kantha stitches scatter across the surface, creating a beautiful sense of movement and texture.

Turn it over, and the mood shifts to the grounded tones of autumn and winter. Half grey and half brown, this side features an abstract pattern that almost resembles the grain of wood, brought to life through fine kantha stitching. A stunning indigo strip runs through the centre and along the edge, adding a striking depth and contrast to the earthy tones.
