Tamazighin, meaning “free women,” is a collection of traditional wool blankets made by Amazigh women on the outskirts of Marrakesh.
Each piece is loomed in the home using hand-spun virgin wool and traditional wooden looms, following techniques passed down through generations. The process begins and ends with istikhara, a prayer for guidance, and once complete, the blanket is considered a form of protection.
The wool is left in its natural state, giving the blanket a slightly coarse texture that softens over time with use.
Finished with oversized tassels, it is a piece that brings both texture and warmth into the home.
This piece supports Amazigh women in Morocco, where weaving remains a vital source of income and a skill passed down through generations.
A portion of proceeds is shared with marginalised communities through our ongoing partnership with human rights organisation Restless Beings.
We support makers and farmers near and far through fair wages and thoughtful partnerships.
We choose natural, biodegradable materials and eco-conscious or plant-based dyes where possible. While we avoid single-use plastic, we reuse any that arrives with deliveries to reduce waste.
A percentage of every order goes to marginalised communities, and every purchase plants a tree.
