Our date dish was created in collaboration with Palestinian ceramicist Rania Makhlouf, shaped through the same process of making something that felt both practical and considered for the way we gather and eat.
Each piece is formed and glazed by hand, bringing together Rania’s practice with a design that centres around ease and use. A small side bowl is thoughtfully placed to hold seeds, keeping everything contained and allowing the moment to flow without interruption.
It lends itself naturally to olives and dates, but moves just as easily into other moments, whether it’s bread and olive oil or something more informal shared between a few people. There is a simplicity to it that makes it easy to live with, something you reach for often without needing to think.
No two dishes are ever quite the same. Some carry more visible pattern, while others are more minimal, and each one sits within its colour family in its own way. If you are hoping for a specific piece, feel free to message us via the chat in the bottom right of your screen and we will do our best to check availability.
This piece is part of our co-created collection, designed in collaboration with makers to ensure meaningful, fairly paid work while creating pieces that are both functional and rooted in heritage.
A portion of proceeds is shared with marginalised communities through our ongoing partnership with human rights organisation Restless Beings.
For every order placed, we also plant a tree, contributing to long-term environmental restoration.
We support makers and farmers near and far through fair wages and thoughtful partnerships.
We choose natural, biodegradable materials and eco-conscious or plant-based dyes where possible. While we avoid single-use plastic, we reuse any that arrives with deliveries to reduce waste.
A percentage of every order goes to marginalised communities, and every purchase plants a tree.
