Shaped in a soft barrel form, this pouch brings together structure and flexibility, designed to hold everyday essentials while carrying the depth of traditional craft.
Each piece is created using appliqué techniques native to Kutch, where layers of fabric are carefully cut, placed, and stitched by hand to form bold, expressive patterns. The work is carried out by artisans within a craftswomen-led collective of over 1,200 rural makers, where embroidery is both a source of livelihood and a space for creative expression.
Rooted in a socio-cultural enterprise, the collective works to sustain traditional skills in remote regions of Gujarat, creating opportunities for women to earn independently while continuing practices that have been passed down through generations.
Its rounded shape allows for more generous storage, making it easy to use across different moments, from stationery and glasses to small personal items kept close at hand. The zip closure keeps everything contained, while the softness of the fabric allows it to sit comfortably within a bag.
No two are exactly alike. Variations in colour, pattern, and placement are part of the handmade process, giving each pouch its own character.
Each piece supports artisans in Kutch, helping to sustain traditional embroidery as a source of dignified, fairly paid work.
A portion of proceeds is shared with marginalised communities through our ongoing partnership with human rights organisation Restless Beings.
For every order placed, we also plant a tree, contributing to long-term environmental restoration.
We support makers and farmers near and far through fair wages and thoughtful partnerships.
We choose natural, biodegradable materials and eco-conscious or plant-based dyes where possible. While we avoid single-use plastic, we reuse any that arrives with deliveries to reduce waste.
A percentage of every order goes to marginalised communities, and every purchase plants a tree.
