Madhubanti | Kantha Quilt
Madhubanti means honey from the forest and I think you can see why. This repurposed sari quilt is a little different than the rest as we have managed to piece the same sari on both sides of the quilt. We've brought her to life by adding additional striking pieces of sari in the fiery colours of red and yellow. Reinforced with super-fine freehand kantha stitches this quilt is raring to go and has many many years to give!
This quilt has been freehhand stitched by female artisans from a village in West Bengal.
By purchasing an Earth quilt you are:
- Directly supporting the livelihood of artisans dependent on traditional skills.
- Allowing used garments to have a second life, saving it from ending up in landfill.
